Yoga Instructor
Angel Yew
"Yoga is the practice of compassion and love."
I encountered yoga at the age of 29. Practicing asanas gradually calmed my restless mind. Over years of consistent practice, I became more patient, resilient, and even-tempered.
When the time was right, I embarked on an Iyengar Yoga teacher training under Nanda Kumar. Iyengar Yoga emphasizes alignment, precision, and therapeutic balance. After more than two years of training, I became a certified teacher.
However, while yoga offered temporary relief from stress, life’s challenges remained. Facing personal struggles and a rare chronic illness, I experienced anxiety, pain, and pressure. This led me to shift my yoga practice inward, listening more deeply to my inner voice.
Through the Himalayan Yoga Meditation Tradition, I found profound guidance. Passed down from master to disciple, this lineage transmits wisdom that awakens the divine light within, leading each seeker to self-realization.
Through meditation, I experienced a transformation—like sunlight and rain nurturing the earth. I learned to stay balanced amid life’s ups and downs, embracing acceptance and compassion.
At the Himalayan Yoga Tradition Institute, I received systematic teacher training, guidance from masters, and continuous mentorship. I integrated yoga into my daily life, embodying its deep wisdom.
Over the years, I have shared my insights—asanas, breathwork, meditation, and yoga philosophy—with students who are drawn to this path. Through practice, I have deeply felt the compassionate power of this tradition, like steady and gentle hands lifting me from darkness. It has illuminated my inner light, guiding me to meet my truest self on this journey of yoga.
